Brzytwa Ojca was formed in the late 1984 in Gliwice, Silesia from the ashes of local bands such as Gliwice SS (82/83) & Dom Publiczny (83/84). The foundation of the band were 2 guys named Darek who played guitar & bass and a singer Pastor. After several line-up changes (it's also worth mentioning that Marlena and Lumpaj later known from Absurd played for them for a brief time) in may 1986 Kissman - the drummer of Żylasty Kogut joined the band and that's how the best known line-up was formed. The band performed in Jarocin 1987 & 1989, in Katowice at "Odjazdy" Fest in "Akant" Club. Along with Śmierć Kliniczna, Processs, Absurd & RAP, Brzytwa Ojca was a part of GAS (Gliwice Alternative Scene). They were also probably the first wide known Silesian band in the country which played fast and uncompromising straight up punk rock. They played gigs together with Dezerter, KSU, The Corpse, Nadzór, Armia.
In 1988 they released DIY tape "Underground". Shortly after demo, Kissman was sacked and with a new drummer band played probably one more show and called it a day. Kissman starts hardcore / punk band Rottweiler. A few years later Brzytwa's frontman Pastor dies in a car accident.
In the 90's the demo tape was re-released twice by Zima Records as "Brzytwa Ojca" & "Idole". The later versions included a few live songs. There were also a few songs released on various tape compilations. What you are listening now is complete and official release of all preserved BO songs.
Currently only Kissman is musically active in the scene playing in Rottweiler - reactivated after long hiatus. He also played in Whitman and Koyaanisqatsi in last years.

All the songs were released in 2011 as CD/LP by Pasażer Records & Kwadraciok Records. Now first time available in digital format.
